I got my PPL today. Thanks John for your incredible help throughout my training. I definitely wouldn't have been able to get thru this without your assistance.
You are the one who taught me everything, starting from how to fly a pattern up to finding xcountry landmarks.
I was struggling to understand the relationship between the different flight instruments & most importantly what I'm doing, why I'm doing. Thanks for taking the time to train me in your sims & helping me to understand & build "airmanship" in me.
During the xcountry phase of my training, it was again you who taught me how to find good checkpoints on the route.
And most importantly, you taught me that "Aviation is a roller coaster ride", "I'll see the highest of my highs & lowest of my lows during the same week". This couldn't be more true.
Thanks once again for all your help with this journey, you are the best instructor & mentor a student can hope for! I hope to be able to get thru lots of "roller coaster rides" with you for my future ratings.
I'd recommend 10/10 to anyone pursuing an aviation journey!
John and his colleagues are very passionate and knowledgeable about what they do I highly recommend virtual Aviation of Minnesota!
I am a current student working on my private pilot's license. Working with John in the simulator has really helped me nail down my pattern work and establish good habits and muscle memory. When I get in the plane I feel much more prepared for my lessons. It's awesome how many different scenarios can be mimicked in the simulator from weather to in flight emergencies. And you never get weathered out of flying the sim! On days below VFR minimums I have appreciated the ability to practice flying in the sim so I don't lose progress.
I have also been able to talk through what I am learning in ground school with John and ask questions. He has such a strong passion for aviation and wants to see his students succeed. I would 10/10 recommend working with Virtual Aviation Minnesota to anyone who wants to become a pilot!
