My name is John Rutoski, I have a passion for training and developing our next generation of pilots. I have been a part of the airline industry for over 30 years with training in both military and commercial aircraft. In 2018, in partnership with other pilots, I founded Virtual Aviation MN.
Virtual Aviation is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting pilot candidates obtain their wings through the use of computerized flight simulation and ground school mentorship. Our coaching sessions aid in navigating through the complexity of flight training programs.

We are an organization with experienced board members and pilots who have logged over 38,000 combined flight hours. Our goal is to reduce the entry level cost of starting a flying career and to prepare an individual for the rigors of flight training.
We have several different simulators across the Minneapolis-St.Paul area as well as in Orlando, FL. We have the ability to set our sims to look exactly like the airport you will be training out of, making you more prepared than ever to take off!

Learn hands on operating skills in a variety of aircraft. We can customize training location to any airport in the country. This will not only give you the basic motor skills of flying but also provide excellent situational awareness when you actually start flight training at your selected airport.

The road to a flying career is anything but straight
We have current and retired commercial and military pilots who have volunteered to mentor the next generation.
We can offer free counseling and pathway development. We will take time to learn about you and then match you with a mentor who has traveled a similar path.
